Monthly Ministry of Feeding the Hungry in NYC
We invite all District chapters to sign up for a month and participate. The program will serve food to those who are hungry in Manhattan on the last Tuesday of the month. You are encouraged to “buddy up” with sister chapters.
The Feed the Hungry Program is changing the location for distribution from 31st St. (in front of St. Francis)
to 35th St. and Broadway (next to Macy's).
When: Last Tuesday of the month at 8:00 pm
Where: 5th Street and Broadway (next to Macy’s)
Who: 6-12 volunteers (mix of women and men is best)
What: 2 tables for meals; 2 additional tables for optional clothing/toiletries
To Do: Set up tables on sidewalk and place items on tables with extras underneath. Avoid serving from cars or leaving tables to return to cars for extra supplies.
